YotaPhone 3 officially announced in China for 2017 release
The odd dual-screen device called the YotaPhone 3 has been officially announced in the East Asian country of China for 2017 release.
While Yota Devices hasn’t revealed the precise details regarding the device’s specifications and release date yet, the manufacturer has provided pricing details.
There will be one variant of the device with internal storage of 64GB that will cost $350. The other model of the phone will offer 128GB of internal storage and come accompanied with a price tag of a $450.
Some reports claim that the third generation model of the phone will hit store shelves in China as well as Russia sometime in the fall this year.
Like the second-generation YotaPhone, the YotaPhone 3 will reportedly also feature two full-size screens -- an AMOLED screen on one side and an E-ink touchscreen on the other side.
The biggest question YotaPhone fans are left with is if the third-generation device will actually make it to the U.S. this year. The YotaPhone 2 was initially said to be launched in the U.S. in 2015, but it was cancel shortly after a crowdfunding drive was announced to help cover the costs.
